What went wrong THIS time

The current phase of kobebeef is to remember things that happened in Canada--not my home country, but a weird one, especially in middle school.

During my philosophy test this morning I was catapulted--pssssshowwwowowpoof!--back to term 2 exam period. We'd take our exams at desks set up in the gym. We'd have to prop up textbooks (books that weren't for the class whose exam we were taking) around our desk to cover our answers. We'd be allowed to have the most ridiculous and pathetic 'good luck' charms (or gigantic stuffed animals) because we were pampered girls, some more than others (because some actually chose to go to this school). Invariably, because it was wintertime, everyone's noses would be running throughout the entire three-hour test block. I can't even imagine what ended up on everyone's hands, and on good luck charms, and then on test papers, and then onto teachers' hands, and then everywhere in the city, and then in the public library where the crazies (and I) would go from time to time.

That was this morning, basically, except everyone has ipods instead of Tickle-Me Elmos, and everyone was 18-22 instead of 14. But it's not that different. Still a lot of snot.
